The former ruling Alliance for Patriotic Re-orientation and Construction (APRC) has expelled Momodou Bou Jarju as its member.
This was disclosed in a press release signed by party leader of the APRC Fabakary Tombong Jatta and made available to Daily News on Wednesday.
“The chairman and party leader of the APRC Hon. Fabakary Tombong Jatta, acting under executive powers vested on him by the party constitution, and in consultation with the national executive committee, and the founder of the party, wishes to inform the general public that with effect from Tuesday 3rd July, 2018, Mr. Momodou Bou Jarju has been expelled from the APRC Party,” the statement noted.
“The expulsion is necessitated to redress his action and behaviour pose threat of jeopardizing the harmony and unity of the party. By this action, Mr. Momodou Bou Jarju may not in any way use the name of APRC or act in any way representing APRC.”
“Thus, all supporters of the APRC are urged to desist from destabilising the peace and harmony APRC is known for. In the same vein, all APRC militants are to be aware of the expulsion and urged to continue to exercise their loyalty and unreserved support to the executive.”
The party leader thanked all the APRC supporters and well-wishers for their tedious effort and loyalty to the party. “May Allah continue to shower His blessings on all Gambians and the world at large,” the release concluded.
