Barrow Delivering on Promises – Hamat Bah

President Adama Barrow is delivering on his election promises like creating jobs for Gambians, says Hamat Bah, the Minister of Tourism and Culture.
Minister Bah was speaking on Wednesday during tour of hotels and other facilities within the Tourism Development Area under his ministry. According to Mr. Bah who is also the leader of National Reconciliation Party (NRP) Barrow is trying to fulfill his election promises as contained in the Coalition Government’s manifesto. He said Barrow promised to improve on the standard of living of Gambians and create jobs among other things. “He promised to deliver democracy to the people of the Gambia and you can only get that done when you do the right thing and I believe that the progress that we have already achieved or when we are set to achieve shows that the government is delivering on its promise to the people of this country when it comes in the area of job creation,” Mr. Bah stressed.
“We created lot of jobs I think this hotel is one of the few that you have seen. There are many more to come and very soon in one or two years. We hope to have another channel of hotels that are higher in quality,” Bah added.
The minister emphasized that now everybody is into tourism and tourism is everybody’s business. “Every government is into tourism. The only way we can get to the market is to get the right product and the right products start from the quality of hotels and standard in terms of services,” Bah added.
