President Adama Barrow is expected to receive a report on the findings of the Commission of Inquiry into the Faraba Banta incident at a ceremony in State House today, the presidency has announced.
The commission, led by a renowned human rights lawyer, Mr Emmanuel Joof, has successfully completed its mandate of investigating the circumstances surrounding the recent deadly shootings in Faraba.
Meanwhile, in another development, President Barrow will preside over the swear-in ceremony of members of the newly set up Lands Commission at the State House. Similarly, the recently appointed Deputy Secretary to Cabinet will also take the prescribed oaths of office, secrecy and allegiance on the same day.
