Singhateh, Touray and Martin Serve to Appear Before TRRC

The Daily News can confirmed that two key members of the former AFPRC/APRC members and another military officer are served to appear before the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission (TRRC).
Edward Singhateh, Yankuba Touray and Alhagie Martin are all served to testify before the TRRC.
The news is confirmed by the Executive Director Dr. Baba Galleh Jallow that all persons mentioned by witnesses appearing before the TRRC will be served notices of adverse mention.
“The trio who are served can either respond by writing or appear in person or through other means” Jallow told reporters.
Daily News can confirm that the trio have been mentioned several times by witnesses who have already testified at the TRRC.
Mohamed Lamin Bah a private soldier mentioned Edward Singhateh as saying Edward asked Alagie Kanyi to go for Fafa Nyang and he Fafa was asked to run for his life; as he was running he was looking behind, Edward first fired at him and he fell on the ground.
Another witness too, one Amat Jangum told the TRRC that former Finance Minister Koro Ceesay was killed at Captain Yankuba Touray’s House. So did Alagie Kanyi also mentioned Edward Singhateh as sending vehicle to collect him from his Brikama residence and on arrival told him that they have an operation to carry out.
The TRRC is set up to look into the human right violations from 1994 to the time the Jammeh regime was voted out.
