In a signed statement send to the Daily News, Musa Jammeh UDP UK Chapter Secretary General and former KMC Mayoral Aspirant have stated that diaspora Gambians are dismayed and totally disappointed in Barrow and his administration.
This follows after he (Barrow) haven given us hope and desire that we will vote and up to now, the Barrow administration is mute over the matter. Jammeh said the government is completely silence and no desire from his administration to allow Gambians living abroad, who are in their large numbers the fundamental human , and constitutional rights to vote.
This is a big betrayal to the diaspora community, who felt The Coalition 2016 uses them as a money making scheme to achieve individual goals and objectives, more especially Barrow himself. Barrow has promised the diaspora and strongly said at one time that people living in the diaspora will never be neglected.
The UK based politician said on the contrary, going by what he calls reckless administration, Barrow and his team are aware that they would not secure 0.0001% of the votes in diaspora. “When I said diaspora I meant from Cassamance to all over the way to other parts of the world”.
The diaspora are so disappointed in his administration that, “we will put our resources, energy, time and money to uproot Barrow and his corrupt, heartless, reckless Government come December4th In Shaa”.
Jammeh said he wanted to seize this opportunity to thank some of our MP’S who have fought for this opportunity and even willing to support a SAP BUDGET for diaspora voting . Barrow knows that UDP is the dominance force in the diaspora, so he and his administration refuses to put any time, energy or resources to support the IEC to implement diaspora voting .
Jammeh calls for the resignation of the IEC Chairman Alieu Mamar Njie, the UK based politicians said this is to support his former position where he once mentioned that it’s his legacy that he wanted to preserve one amongst then is seeing Diasporas vote in this coming election.
Jammeh therefore suggest that, he gives ultimatum to Barrow and his Government or else he resign to preserve his legacy. Weather Barrow knows it or not diaspora are speaking to their families, friends, neighbour’s to go out and register, some even travelling back to register to send Barrow packing.
Barrow and his administration are to face a non-compromise commission for the billions of money wasted not translated in our National development. “I can assure him that, this would be percentage vote on the 5th Dec ,UDP 61% , NPP 15%, GDC 10, OTHERS 24%.
