Senghore Resigns as Coordinator of COVID-19 response Program

By Almamo Kamaso

The Coordinator of the COVID-19 response Program Alasan Senghore a Gambian with an international hired a few weeks ago tendered his resignation on persona grounds. He was until his appointment was the Secretary General of the Gambia Red Cross Society.

Senghore    resigned on personal grounds and will not want to go into details, he was speaking to a Gambians online newspaper. Alasan Senhore was a veteran voluntary worker at international level who just returns to serve his mother land the Gambia.

Senghore who is still the Secretary General of the Gambia Red Cross Society, said he resigned because he can’t do his job as expected. The former International servant in his capacity as the regional and 9netrnational levels said he is singing too because the work environment is not conducive to perform.

Senghore said his resignation is not anything strange    but just that he has come from a culture of work and which culture is different from the culture for government.

In a similar case elsewhere , Dr. Denis MUKWEGE has just resigned from the Congolese COVIID-19 response team and declared “I cannot in any case dirty my Nobel Peace Prize from money, and we had been ordered to declare any illness to be coronavirus and any death.

In addition, the thing that displeased me is that, after more than 100 samples none came out positive. I have a career to protect and I am Congolese by blood. Getting rich by lying os a sin before God, I quit”
